Accomplishments

 Over the years we have been able to undertake the following projects:
Rehabilitation of the Winneba Methodist Primary School buildings during the early 2000s. 
Provided financial assistance to the library in Senya Beraku to help pay the staff and keep the doors open.
Collaborated with the Effutu Association of New York to provide over 600 writing desks and chairs to over 30 primary and middle schools in the Winneba traditional area.
In 2003/4 we sent two X-Ray machines to the Winneba Hospital.  These X-Ray machines were donated by Kaiser Permanente in Panorama City, near Los Angeles, through the help of Margaret Forson, a Kaiser employee and member of AEFASC. 
Thanks to the Lakeview Terrace Home Group of the Church on the Way in Van Nuys, we were able to obtain blankets, patient gowns, and other supplies which were shipped to the Winneba Hospital in 2006/2007. 

 In 2007 we shipped text books to elementary schools in Winneba.  We also shipped hospital equipment such as wheel chairs, walkers, etc., to the Winneba Hospital. 
In 2010 we financed the purchase of drill bits to George Prah, M.D. at the Winneba Hospital for surgical procedures at the hospital.
In 2011 and 2012, we provided financial assistance to the ArkCity Link Foundation in Winneba.  The Foundation was launched on September 30, 2011.  Its goal was to conduct computer workshops and training for elementary school kids to expose them to the world of computers.  Although it is government policy that information and communication technology is taught in primary, junior and senior secondary schools, very few schools have computers.  In schools that have no computers, students are taught just theory.  
​​The foundation fills this gap. The foundation is headed by Mrs. Felicity Efua Arkhurst.  It is run with the assistance of a board of directors.  Since its founding in 2011/12, it has provided basic computer training to teachers and pupils from 22 primary and junior secondary schools. During the foundation’s first year, the 2011/2012 academic year, 22 primary and junior secondary schools with over 580 pupils participated in these workshops.  Prizes are awarded to outstanding students who excel in the quizzes and competitions that are held from time to time.  The foundation is headed by Mrs. Felicia Efua Arkhurst and is assisted by a board comprising Mr. Emmanuel Colecraft, Madam Georgina Asamoah, Dr. I. M. Botwe, Professor S. M. Quartey, Ms. Margaret Kwakwa, Mr. Kingsley O. Danquah, Mr. Isaac Oko-Baidoo, Nii Okyne, and Mr. Isaac Sam-Mensah.  Omanhene Neenyi Ghartey VII is their patron. 
During the Fall of 2015, the association (AEFASC) decided to provide scholarships to graduating seniors who have gained admission to post-secondary institutions to pursue further studies. Under the guidance of Dr. Kwaku Annor, the association developed a scholarship application form that was personally delivered to Mrs. Hilda Eghan, the then-District Education Officer in Winneba, in January 2016 by Dr. Annor.  Mrs. Eghan delivered copies of the form to the headmasters of the senior secondary schools in the Winneba Traditional Area.  In all, 26 applications were received from four senior secondary schools.  At the end of the review process in 2017, the association awarded scholarships of $500.00 each to all the students, seven in all, who had gained admission to universities, teacher training colleges, and polytechnics.  The scholarships enabled the students to pay their registration fees at their respective institutions. 

 ​In 2018 we gave financial aid to Hope 4 Athletes Foundation, a foundation that provides a soccer as well as general athletic training to middle school-age kids. We also gave financial aid to an orphanage, Eye of the Lord Orphanage, in Nsawam.
